Bespoke art: The necessary wedding trend for 2024/25.

A common question that I get asked when it comes to 2024/25 weddings is, "why is bespoke art a necessary wedding trend"?.

And my answer is honestly, is anything necessary at a wedding? That sounds quite bad but I mean it in the sincerest way possible! Weddings are beautiful days because of the two people sharing their love for one another, but in 2024, a beautiful wedding is also one that embodies the couple's personality. Everything about the day is personalised to them, as it should be!

From the initial design of the save the dates, to the welcome signage, to the live drawing of a wedding portrait on your wedding day, having custom visuals that represent you and your partner is an opportunity for you to shape your wedding and make it different to everyone else's! But these personalised details are also an intimate invitation for you and your partner to be the center of attention, to make you feel all the more special - and you deserve that feeling!

For creative personalities, having an artist listen to your story and create a bespoke piece for you is like a trust exercise! You wear your heart on your sleeve and hope that the artist captures you at your best. The feeling that you get when you see the invitations that nod to a special place in your past, or your guests being wowed when they receive a live illustration of themselves as a keepsake from your special day, is a real heart warmer.

Live artists at weddings are becoming more and more popular in the UK. Already a huge hit in the US, live wedding artists make for fantastic entertainment. Whether you invest in an illustrator to draw your guests or whether you prefer an artist to draw your first wedding portrait, both options are a great way to have a fun reveal, and so many more memorable moments throughout the evening!

Bespoke art is also commemorative. If you are a wedding guest, a meaningful gift can be drawing of the wedding venue with the couple's names and date of marriage on! Its a simple idea, but you can't beat a thoughtful and touching testament to the special couple.

So why is bespoke art necessary for a wedding? It is imperative if you want to make your day personal to you, the first thing I would suggest is investing in an artist who can help infuse your story and personality in every part of your wedding. You will find this out by contacting artists to have an initial chat with them and check their vibe is right for you. The second thing I advise is invest in an artist who understands the assignment; to be the wow factor that you found first!
