As we are well and truly in wedding fair season, I have been thinking about some of the top tips I received as a bride to be that really helped me prepare for each event. But as a supplier, I now have an interesting insight into the 'behind the scenes' and wanted to share my top tips for wedding fair success!
Find out which suppliers are exhibiting: Before attending a wedding fair, do some research. Have a clear idea of the types of things you want to see and the questions you want to ask. It can make you really excited when you know you're about to meet the people who provide exactly what you have been dreaming of! But it also really exciting to find new suppliers who really intrigue you.
Go with an Open Mind: While it’s essential to have preferences, be open to discovering new ideas. Wedding fairs are full of inspiration, and you might stumble upon something unexpected that truly resonates with you.
Ask Questions and Take Notes: Interact with suppliers one-on-one. Ask about their services, pricing, and availability. Take notes so you can compare later. Don’t be afraid to inquire about discounts or special offers.
Visit Exhibitors’ Websites Beforehand: Check out the websites of exhibitors you’re interested in. This will give you a better understanding of their work and help you decide which booths to prioritize during the fair.
Bring a Friend or Family Member: Having someone accompany you can be helpful. They can offer a second opinion, take notes, and share the experience. Plus, it’s more fun to explore together!
Quality over Quantity: When looking at a supplier's stand, really take note of the quality of the exhibit rather than the quantity of what is being displayed. Some suppliers may be newer to the industry, but they bring a wealth of professional experience. So never discredit a newer supplier, as the quality of their work may just blow you away!
